CEO/FOUNDER
Valencia Anderson is the proud Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Motherhood of Chicago Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, empowering, and inspiring mothers through sisterhood, service, and community.
As a devoted mother of four, Valencia understands firsthand both the joys and the challenges that come with motherhood. Her personal journey inspired her to create a space where mothers could find genuine support, meaningful friendships, and encouragement without fear of judgment. She believes that every mother deserves a village—a community that celebrates her victories, supports her through life's challenges, and reminds her that she is never alone.
Beyond leading The Motherhood of Chicago Inc., Valencia has over a decade of experience working with children and families in education and early childhood development. Her background includes serving as a daycare director, educator, athletic director, coach, and behavioral therapist. Her passion for leadership, mentorship, and community engagement has allowed her to positively impact countless children, families, and women throughout her career.
Valencia founded The Motherhood of Chicago Inc. with a vision to create more than just an organization—she wanted to build a movement where mothers could grow together, serve together, celebrate together, and inspire one another to become the best versions of themselves.
Under her leadership, the organization continues to provide opportunities for personal development, community service, networking, wellness, and memorable events that strengthen families and create lasting connections.
Valencia's mission is simple: to ensure that every mother knows she is supported, empowered, inspired, and never alone. Through faith, compassion, and servant leadership, she remains committed to building a legacy that uplifts mothers and positively impacts generations to come.
